You and A.I. (2025)

A theater-game of the group Binge Culture, imported and restaged by machina eX

The theater-game You and A.I. is about the possibilities of influencing digital systems. Guided by your own phone, you journey through streets and found spaces with the quest to train an artificial intelligence. On your odyssee into the mind of a ravenous learning machine, you solve puzzles and mine data. Eventually, you have to decide wheter to merge with the machine or to fight against it.

You and A.I. was originally developed and realized by the group Binge Culture and premiered 2021 in Wellington, New Zealand. In 2025, the FFT Düsseldorf hosts the German premiere, curated and restaged by machina eX. The cooperation between Binge Culture and machina Ex is aimed at presenting their plays to an audience on the other side of the world – without having to mount an airplane.
