Dingsda2meX (since 2021)

A storage management tool for artists and independent theater collectives to facilitate equipment and prop sharing.

Groups, ensembles, and other institutions can set up their own equipment management systems with dingsda 2meX—and adapt and modify them according to their needs.

dingsda 2meX’s functions are specially tailored for individuals who work in the arts, collectives, and project and tour operations in the independent theater scene.

The software is free and open source and can be installed on individual servers. Users can pose questions, give feedback, and contribute to the future development of the software on the machina commons Discord Channel. Users can also pose questions, give feedback, and contribute to the future development of the software on the machina commons Discord Channel.

At machina eX, we use dingsda 2meX to make our warehouse more transparent, both internally and externally: The platform allows anyone with an account to view the technical, electronic, and scenographic objects we’ve accumulated over the past ten years. Depending on their access rights, users can also manage, edit, book, or rebook equipment.

The functions are optimized for easy booking and debooking of items from the warehouse on a mobile device or laptop. Even with projects running in parallel and multiple artists accessing the collection, the selection and availability of items is always clear.
