Game Theater Toolkit \u2013 Teachers and theater educators wanted for practical testing<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The project<\/mark><\/sub><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For over 15 years, machina eX has been developing participatory game theater. In our productions, we combine game design, coding, and interactive spaces<\/strong> with the classic tools of illusion theater<\/strong>. This results in playable theater pieces in which the audience itself becomes active\u2014for example, by solving puzzles, making decisions, or interacting with the environment. In doing so, we continuously experiment with new formats and technologies. In recent years, we have created multimedia board games for home use, playable installations with audio plays, theater games in urban spaces and classrooms, and specially developed software for game theater projects. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

More than 30 productions<\/a> have resulted in extensive practical experience. We are now preparing these so that teachers, theater educators, and other multipliers<\/strong> can use them in lessons and workshops. Our materials teach the basics of game theater\u2014such as game mechanics, branching dramaturgy, and interactive props\u2014and provide guidance on how to create your own playable theater scenes or plays. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To this end, we are developing a freely accessible website<\/strong> with exercises, methods, and expert input.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
